Go-Ped Sport 29cc Gas Scooter

The original California Go-Ped®. The Go-Ped Sport model was designed to create a simple, portable and fuel-efficient form of personal transportation. This all American Classic is now in it's second decade of production. It's versatility appeals to commuters and fun lovers of all ages.

The Goped Sport is nearly identical to the first scooter that rolled out of Patmont Motor Werks. It's extremely simplistic design and economy engine keep things simple. Nothing fancy is an under-statement.

The Go-Ped Sport is the oldest scooter still produced by Patmont Motor Werks and has gone through three generations of engines: the Zenoah G2D-58, the Zenoah G23LH and the Chung Yang GPL290.

The Sport's use is generally limited to on-road conditions. It performs incredibly poorly in rocks and is unable to operate in sandy or wet conditions due to the simplistic drive mechanism. In smooth road conditions, the small size and light weight of this scooter cannot be beat.

The primary braking system of the sport is the front caliper brake, the engines compression can also be utilized as a brake of sorts more suited to keeping the scooter at a safe speeds going down hills. The front brake is operated via a hand lever on the left side of the handlebars. The rear compression can also be used by pressing the kill switch to slow the scooter slightly. Although the stopping power of the wheel caliper brake is limited, it is ample for the speed that this scooter can attain.
